Everyone
can feel good about supporting this great event because it
benefits so many. Since the event’s inception 26 years
ago, United
Cerebral Palsy (UCP) has been our charity of record and
Taste of Madison has helped them raise approximately $250,000
in the past decade alone.
UCP volunteers are the event’s friendly soda, water, beer and wine sellers. The non-profit is paid a flat fee for providing these volunteers to the event. All the tip money their servers earn goes directly to benefit the services provided through UCP. These funds have greatly assisted UCP to further their mission of enriching the quality of life for the families and individuals they serve: in their homes; in their communities; and in their life choices. Their work has touched many lives in the greater Dane County area. They are able to help not only those in our community that are affected by Cerebral Palsy, but also those with disabilities like autism, Down’s syndrome, and brain trauma, and they are committed to supporting individuals with disabilities from birth through adulthood.
