Held each year over Labor Day weekend, Taste of Madison showcases more than 65 local restaurants, 20 beverage stands and three entertainment stages. The participating restaurants sell a vast variety of unique and traditional dishes to the estimated 175,000 attendees over the two-day period. And every food item is reasonably priced from $1 to $4. Admission to the event – which includes hours and hours of live entertainment – is free and open to the public.
The Taste of Madison is the flagship event of Madison Festivals, Inc. and benefits United Cerebral Palsy of Dane County. Madison Festivals is a privately held, non-profit 501(c) 3 organization. The city of Madison is not directly involved with the event, and all expenses - including rental of the Square, police, security, etc. - are paid for by Madison Festivals. Please abide by the rules we establish, especially the "NO PET" and "NO CARRY INS" policies. People who bring pets to the event will not be served, and we maintain the right to bar those that do not adhere to our rules from the event.
