Madison Marathon Water Station Sponsorship

How it works:

• The marathon committee will assign your group to a station. They will do their best to accommodate your organization if you would like to request a specific water station location. There are 20 stations available.
• Cups, water, Gatorade will be provided by the Madison Marathon at all water stations. Select stations will also have fruit and energy gel supplied by Madison Marathon. Groups are asked to pick up their supplies on Saturday, May 24th at the Health and Fitness Expo at Alliant Energy Center from 9am-7pm.
• Stations supplying energy gel are asked to save the empty packets and bag them separately so that they can be recycled.
• Volunteers must staff the booth for the specified duration depending on the location of the station (approx. 20 people are needed to run an aid station).
• Volunteers must collect and bag any trash in the water station area. Trash and equipment will be picked up by a third party.

To become an official Water Station Sponsor:

• Your company may choose your water station location on the course.
• As a sponsor, you may provide plastic coated paper cups with your company logo. (Cups must be approved by the marathon committee.)
• Sponsoring organization may hang banners and signage. (Your company is responsible for hanging and removing these banners and signs.)
• Madison Marathon will supply your organization with banner for an additional $200.
• Your organization may wear your own logoed clothing for company recognition.
• Please notify Jody Stolldorf by May 1 if you plan to wear your own shirts at your water station.
• Your organization’s logo will be posted on the Madison Marathon website as well as in the weekend event program as a water station sponsor.

If you’re a non-profit volunteer group:

• Volunteer organizations may hang one banner at their station to promote their non-profit.
• Madison Marathon will supply your organization with banner for an additional $200.
• Your organization may opt to wear your own logoed clothing for company recognition.
• Please notify Jody Stolldorf by May 1 if you plan to wear your own shirts at your water station.
• In appreciation for their time, non-profit organizations will receive a donation from the Madison Marathon to support their work in the community.

If you’re a local business volunteer group:

• Your group may hang one banner at their station to promote your business.
  Madison Marathon will supply your organization with banner for an additional $200.
• Your organization may opt to wear your own logoed clothing for company recognition.
• Please notify Jody Stolldorf by May 1 if you plan to wear your own shirts at your water station.
