The Madison Marathon is pleased to announce that Town Bank will be presenting sponsor of the 2007 Health & Fitness Expo.

West Washington Pedestrian Bridge Eliminated!!!
One of the most difficult aspects of previous Madison Marathon´s had participants running up, across, and down a pedestrian
bridge near the end of the course. We are pleased to announce that with modifications to the route this challenging, frustrating,
and definitely tiring piece of the course is no more.
Volunteers Needed!
The Madison Marathon is looking for volunteers to help out Saturday at the Health and Fitness Expo and on race day. Visit www.madisonfestivals.com and click the volunteer link to view available shifts and to register.
No Race-Day Registration/Packet Pick-up
A reminder that there will be no race-day registration or packet pick-up for any of the 2007 Madison Marathon races.*
Registration will be available online through Active.com until Thursday, May 24, 2007. Mail-in registration will be open until
May 26th. Please visit www.madisonfestivals.com to print a race application. Runners may also register and pick up their
packets at the Health and Fitness Expo on May 26, 2007 at Alliant Energy Center.
If you would like a friend/family member to pick up your packet, please go to the registration page on the marathon Web site
and download a "Packet Pick-up waiver." We will require that your friend/family member present this waiver at registration
when they pick up your packet.

7:05am -- Wheelchairs start, Capitol Square
7:10am -- Marathon start
7:30am -- Half Marathon start
7:45am -- 10k & 6k Start
1:00pm -- Course Closes
TBA -- Awards Ceremonies, Brat Frest Stage on Willow Island
8:00am-3:00pm -- Finish Line Festival, Alliant Energy Center
11am-8pm -- World's Largest Brat Fest, Willow Island at Alliant Energy Center
** Top 3 male and female finishers in each race category will be announced at 11:30am at the Brat Fest Entertainment Stage.
Age category awards will be available at the finish line information booth beginning at the following times:
- 6K & 10K at 9:30am
- Half Marathon at 10:30 am
- Full Marathon at 11:30 am
Parking and Shuttles
Please note that there will be FREE parking at Alliant Energy Center in front of the Expo Hall both Saturday and Sunday of
race weekend. A complimentary shuttle service will run from 5:30am- 3:00pm. Pick up/Drop off points will be the Exhibition
Hall at Alliant Energy Center and the corner of Carroll and Main Street on Capitol Square. |
