There is only ONE MORE WEEK to register before fees increase on May 4, 2009! There are only 212 spots left in the full marathon and 980 left in the half marathon. Register early to reserve your place at the start line!
MADISON MARATHON TRAINING GEAR
Training gear will only be available through May 1st. For those who have not received their gear, we expect to have it in our offices this week and we’ll ship it out ASAP.

CHOCOLATE MILK AT THE FINISH
Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, along with Dean Foods and Sassy Cow Creamery have teamed up to supply chocolate milk to all participants at the finish line. Chocolate milk is a great recovery drink for athletes and a healthy treat any time!
ARE YOU A FIRST-TIME MARATHONER?
Have you completed your first marathon within the past year? If yes, tell me about
your experience!
I am an Exercise and Sport Psychology Ph.D. student at Temple University, in Philadelphia, and also a marathon runner. For my dissertation, I have decided to
look at first time marathon runners (newbies), their motivations for completing a
marathon, and their intent to run another marathon. If you have completed your first
marathon within the past year, I would love to hear about your marathon
experience! Listed below is the link for the online survey. The survey will take
about 10-15 minutes to complete.
If you know of any other first time marathon runners, who ran their debut marathon
within the past year, please pass along the survey information. In advance, thank you for your insight and happy running!

Race day is Sunday, May 24, 2009. The Madison Marathon Expo will take place at Alliant Energy Center’s Expo Hall on Saturday, May 23, 2009. Visit madisonmarathon.com for additional details.
Packet pick-up will take place Saturday, May 23 during the Madison Marathon Expo from 9:00am-7:00pm. There will be no race day packet pick-up.
