What is a Charity Runner?
The American Cancer Society Charity Runner program is a unique opportunity for you to become involved in the fight against cancer while accomplishing your running goals. Whether you're an experienced runner or a novice runner you can be a team member of Charity Runner. This program is available for all race categories. All Charity Runners must register for the Madison Marathon through Active.com before signing up for the Charity Runner Program.
Athlete Benefits For Being a Charity Runner:
- Free training
- Team support and social events
- Incredible race day amenities, including access to the ACS tent, gear check, masseuses, cheer teams, refreshments, goodie bag and more!
- Discounts at sporting good stores
- Exclusive ACS racing singlet
- Personal website
Fund-raising Goals:
In exchange for these benefits, we ask for your help in funding the fight
against cancer! We have set a minimum fundraising goal of $1,000 per
participant and will work with you to attain this goal! We work hard to
keep program costs low to ensure that every dollar raised goes back to the
cause, supporting the life saving mission of the American Cancer Society.
