An endurance event program for American Cancer Society’s Nation of athletes determined to end cancer
The goal of the DetermiNation program is to empower endurance athletes in the battle against cancer. DetermiNation provides endurance athletes an outlet to fight back against this terrible disease by raising awareness during the race and raising funds to support the mission of ACS. In return for your pledge to raise $1,000 for the American Cancer Society, we pledge to make your Madison Marathon race experience the best ever!
In return for joining our team of dedicated cancer fighters, you will enjoy the following benefits:
Pre-Race
- Race registration fee covered in full
- Free training through Berkeley Running Store (Joe Marks Training) or Training Peaks Online Training Program (if you are not from the Madison area)

Race Day

- Entrance into the VIP DetermiNation Tent area which includes private portable toilets, food, water, private gear check and an area for families to convene. This area will only be available to members of DetermiNation and their invited guests.
- Massage therapists on-hand following the race to provide free post-race massages
- DetermiNation cheer squads along the race course
- Opportunity to run cancer into the ground!
