JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Management/Production Intern(s) will assist in organizing and conducting the events of Purple Door Productions’ largest client, Madison Festivals (MFI). MFI produces the Madison Marathon, Brat Fest and the Taste of Madison. This is an un-paid position that requires approx. 20 hours/week (40+ hrs the week of an event).

Duties include coordinating volunteers; communicating with volunteer captains, vendors, and participants; data entry; creating and distributing mail pieces; and working all events on the following weekends:

• Madison Marathon/Brat Fest May 23-26 (Memorial Day weekend)
• Taste of Madison August 30-31 (Labor Day weekend)

Interns will also have opportunities for exposure to development/sales, government relations and marketing if desired.

REQUIREMENTS:
This person must be organized and able to work independently. Strong communication skills both verbal and written are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to multi-task a must. Must have own transportation.
